SPEAKER:

In the next 20 years, there will be $35 trillion inherited in the U.S. as the large and prosperous Baby Boomer generation ages. This is the largest wealth transfer in human history, and may be the greatest philanthropic opportunity that our field has ever seen.

Yet, planned giving remains a thorny challenge for many organizations: even as philanthropy hits record levels, a strikingly low number of donors include nonprofit organizations in their estate plans. And many organizations report struggling acutely with how to turn their thousands of donors into more than a few planned gifts.

Twelve months of in-depth research by graduate students at Stanford University sheds light on this challenge: why donors don't give (hint: it's not because they don't love your organization) and what you can do about it.

Come join Patrick Shmitt - former Head of Email Fundraising at the Democratic National Committee and Head of Innovation at Change.org - discuss his team's findings, and the resulting innovations that can help your organization thrive for generations to come.
