Description

Pioneers like Benjamin Franklin, J.R.R. Tolkien and Thomas Edison met regularly with other smart people to tackle challenges and support each other in what later became known as mastermind groups.  DER is now bringing this time-tested practice to the Bay Area fundraising community!   Joining a DER mastermind group will help you build a strong network of like-minded professionals, gain advice and feedback from your peers, identify new connections, reduce feelings of "being alone" in your organization and stretch beyond old boundaries.  Currently, small donations are up during this time but high impact, large donations are down. Now is a great time to meet with and learn from each other and to develop together!  Our pilot mastermind group (which we hope will be the first of many) will be a cohort of 6-8 major gift fundraisers in the field of education.

The group is scheduled to meet virtually via Zoom from 12:00-1:30 PM on Friday, September 25, October 23, November 13, January 8, January 29 and February 26 (dates subject to change).  The group is open to DER members only, at an introductory rate of $30 for the series.  If you are not a DER Member, you may apply to be part of the Mastermind with the understanding that if you are selected, you will join DER as a member.

To ensure a quality experience for all participants, facilitators Christine Poremski Rodrigues and Regina Neu will invite 6-8 members to join the group based on need, experience, and interest.  Participants will be asked to commit to attend all groups, actively participate, maintain confidentiality and abide by mutually agreed-upon ground rules.
