NOTE: The date of this event is 2/16, not 2/9 as previously announced.

Cold calling can be a daunting task even for seasoned development officers, and it is often a crucial first step to landing the important first meeting with a major donor or prospect. You’ve done your research, you know who to call and you only have a few seconds to make a good impression on the phone and/or get past the receptionist or personal assistant. This session will provide practical tools based on 32 years of fundraising success and will include hands on role-playing.

The training is designed for a solo fundraiser or large development team. Executive directors, prospect researchers, management staff, and volunteers will all benefit.

Outcomes:

  • Discern the best way to approach key donors/prospects—who, when & how
  • Learn how to create effective prospecting scripts
  • Develop best practices in email, voicemail, LinkedIn, and working with gatekeepers
  • Raise your confidence
