Today’s non-profit organizations have become the backbone of our society. They are at the crux of social action and change. All connected to one another by their common mission of improving our quality of life.

At the same time, we know that many of our non-profits are struggling. Reaching to meet the rising demand for services while trying their best to operate with fewer and fewer resources.

The truth is, Board Governance in today’s day and age is more important than ever. In order to meet this ever-increasing demand for services in a world of dwindling resources, non-profits have turned to volunteer boards in ways not seen before.

During our time together, we will explore a philosophy and strategy for building our boards to meet today’s demands and train them for tomorrow’s challenges. We’ll look at the importance of mission and the importance of having “skin in the game”. We’ll also discuss the role of board standards and best practices and the significance of diversity. Included in our session will also be a discussion of the critical role that transcendent leadership planning plays in a successful non-profit organization.

I want to make our time together as productive for you as possible. To that end. I would ask that, if after having read the above description, you have topics you would like discussed as part of our session, feel free to email me your thoughts at charlieroddy@gmail.com. I’ll do my best to include your ideas.

Registration for this event is REQUIRED.
