Description

What does it take to create and keep a board that reflects the beauty of the communities with whom we work?

How do you make sure your board understands their role in your organization’s success?

Join us in February to learn or brush up on inclusive board development and fundraising strategies that will take your work to the next level. For nearly 20 years, Maleka Lawrence has supported nonprofits in creating and implementing fundraising strategies, building and retaining diverse teams, promoting inclusive leadership, and working within organizations big and small to create efficient and collaborative systems and positive cultures. Her roles have included development and leadership positions at national and community-based organizations, most-recently as the Chief Operating Officer at the National Summer Learning Association.

She brings her experience as both a nonprofit professional and board member to share what it takes to attract and keep board members-especially those from nontraditional backgrounds.
