Holiday Sweater Contests  — Winners Get $50 Visa Gift Cards
Featuring Improviser Dane Fox-McGraw

And now for something completely different! The DER Board invites the DER Community to come together on December 10th for a festive storytelling gathering to share about our good, bad, and ridiculous Covid-19 experiences from the past 12 months. Together we’ll discover how each of us has persevered during the pandemic and get to share personal stories in breakout room sessions. We’ll have our spirits lifted with some fun icebreakers facilitated by voice actor and improviser Dane Fox-McGraw, and we’ll pick two winners of our Holiday Sweater Contests for ‘most festive’ and ‘ugliest’ sweaters — each receives a $50 Visa Gift Card.

Zoom Room "Doors" Open at 4:15 PM for Networking!!

Comic Dane Fox-McGraw
We’re willing to go to any length to get our members to smile during these uncertain times, so we’ve invited voice actor and improviser Dane Fox-McGraw to our get together to help us break out of our Covid-19 funk and get connected.
Dane Fox-McGraw performs with the improv troupe Jurassic Pope every month on YouTube, and releases a would-you-rather podcast every week with his roommate called The PJC Cast.

Dane and his fellow improviser Adrean will lead a special breakout ice-breaker session that utilizes improv and theater games. This experience will be less about acting and more about feeling. The series of games will emphasise saying yes to ideas and feelings, particularly your own! The goal is to overcome overthinking and embrace everything each of us has to offer.

Holiday Sweater Contest
The categories are “Ugliest Holiday Sweater” and “Most Festive Holiday Sweater.” Come dressed for the holidays because we’re gonna deck the halls of Zoom with your unbelievable holiday fashion. Don’t hold back because we want to know how you really feel about spending the holidays sheltered-in-place style. Finalists will be nominated by DER board members and winners voted on by meeting participants.

Holiday Breakout Sessions
We know you just haven’t had enough quality time in Zoom breakout rooms so we’re creating some opportunities for everyone to reflect on the past twelve months and look ahead to the next twelve. From the comfort of your favorite pandemic chair we encourage you to express what’s on your mind and share your innermost pandemic warrior stories. This is a great opportunity to come together, share our experiences about the last year, enjoy the holiday seasons, and look ahead to 2021!
